About Jules Renault
Jules Renault is a globetrotting creative, born in the French west coast, later moving through Spain and various French cities due to his father's job as a marketing director.
He initially despised school but found his passion in skateboarding, which eventually led him to the world of video editing.
Jules transitioned to Boston and New York, pursuing skating and music before discovering a knack for directing hardcore rap music videos. Returning to Paris, he entered the commercial industry and developed a unique, multicultural identity. His documentary-style work allowed him to direct commercials for brands like Hennessy in LA. He has since delved into photography, exhibiting his work about Gentrification in New York and capturing his fellow Brooklyn rappers.
He directed a successful ad for Distance, featuring runners and speed cameras in Paris. He shot it himself on rollerblades and ended up discovering what an “ad buzz” is, as this project won more than 45 awards including a Grand Prix in Print at Eurobest.
Jules continues to balance directing commercials and shooting photos, consistently adding innovative elements to his projects.
