About Thibaut Buccellato

Since buying his first mini DV camera at age 11, Thibaut Buccellato has never stopped filming.
His storytelling is rooted in intimacy, love, and the quiet complexity of relationships — a cinematic gaze that captures vulnerability without artifice.
In 2021, he gained recognition with Je suis une rencontre (Nikon Film Festival) and went on to direct The Space Between Us, In The Night (selected in Manchester, awarded in San Francisco), and The Wait. That same year, he released Loving, a tribute to love in all its forms, featuring more than 40 talented actresses and actors of this new generation Thibaut belongs to. The short was selected by Nowness, and Thibaut continued this emotional exploration with It’s Gonna Be Okay in 2023, a spiritual sequel of Loving.
In 2022, The Years You Left With Me spotlighted Leyna Bloom and premiered at the Chéries-Chéris festival in Paris. His latest film, How To Say Goodbye, continues to reach audiences at LGBT festivals worldwide.
Alongside his films, Thibaut brings his sensitivity to meaningful advertising campaigns for the Mutuelle Nationale des Hospitaliers, the French Federation of Cardiology, and Santé Publique France.
He is currently developing his first feature film in New York.
